Tromsø – mount Storsteinen

Mount Storsteinen, 421 meters above sea level has a shaky cable car that slowly crawls up the mountain and brought us to a breathtaking view of Tromsø and into a sharp wind blizzard. Once away from the cliff, the scenery simply disappears into a harsh snow wilderness where the wind whistles so loud you can barely hear your foot steps. The snow accumulates in passages and over water streams so deep that with a wrong step my leg sunk up to my hip under snow almost reaching streaming water underneath. The trick is to walk on the bushes that create a floating pathway and each step creates a bloody red berry massacre.
